Post Title: ITC Representative Project Administrator Ghana
Duration: Until 1st April 2028 (full-time)
Location: Accra, with field missions as required

Knowledge
- MSc degree in the field of administration, planning and finance or equivalent;
- Good understanding on the one hand of national spatial planning and development processes and on the other hand national and local climate change impact and adaption processes;
- A network with the relevant actors and connection to these actors at national regional and local scale;
- How to keep the "project ball" rolling in the right direction.
Experience
- Approximately 10 years of work experience as an administrator of projects in the urban and/or environmental sector;
- At least 5 years of work experience interacting with local governments;
- Coordination/management of at least two projects of at least three years each, and bringing these to a successful completion;
- Worked in at least one project with international partners from the beginning until the end of the projects.
Expected Activities and Responsibilities
Administration
- Provide guidance on administrative procedures in Ghana;
- Address various administrative needs as they arise and manage routine tasks such as maintaining project files, organising travel, vehicle maintenance, scheduling meetings and handling correspondence;
- Review and manage contractor agreements, and process necessary contracts, forms and permits;
- Draft and manage project-related documentation;
- Attend and plan meetings, workshops and training sessions along with the ITC team and the project team in in Ghana/Côte d’Ivoire;
- Coordinate schedules, handle logistical arrangements for events.
Communication
- Inform and coordinate closely with the ITC project administrator, coordinator and counterpart;
- Maintain effective communication channels and ensure smooth communication between project teams;
- Respectfully approach third parties on administrative matters;
- Assists with preparation of data presentations and reports for information sharing, responds to queries and planning.
Budget and Finance
- Monitor project expenditure in and review the status of expenditures in comparison with the approved budget;
- Manage logistical arrangements within the framework of the main budget;
- Provide comprehensive administrative and financial support for the project, in line with ITC and UN-Habitat policies.
Your Skills and Experience
Competencies
- Ability to perform a broad range of administrative functions (e.g. budget monitoring, logistical arrangements, contract management);
- Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving results;
- Persistence when faced with difficult problems or challenges and remains calm in stressful situations;
- Fluent in English;
- French language at B1/B2 level for basic oral and written communication is beneficial.
